This quaint metal ornament with a festive red ribbon for hanging celebrates the cheer and charm of the holiday season by reimagining a detail from Central Park in Winter (1868–94), a hand-colored lithograph in The Met collection. Until 1907, the illustrious New York printmaking firm Currier & Ives (American, 1857–1907) lithographed over 4,000 subjects for distribution in the United States and Europe.
