The Met Store Tableware*Louis Sherry Monet Water Lilies 12-Piece Chocolate Tin

The Met and heritage chocolatier Louis Sherry are delighted to introduce finely crafted treats made with ethically sourced ingredients from around the world. Since 1881, Louis Sherry has shared the French chocolate-making tradition with New Yorkers, and over 100 years later, their chocolates are presented in a traditional tin recast from the original 19th-century box. 

This 12-piece tin made exclusively for The Met showcases a detail from Water Lilies (1919) by Claude Monet (French, 1840–1926). One of Monet’s critics described this canvas of 1919 as water lilies “in full flower assert[ing] themselves … their golden discs encased in purple, against the cloudy waters.”
